I accidentally stumbled upon Waveny Park while looking for a location that was a good middle point between where I’m based in New Jersey and where Rebekka and Eric live in Connecticut, and I’m so glad I did! It ended up being such a hidden gem, with beautiful gardens, historic architecture, fountains, and so many spots to explore.
Rebekka and Eric are high school sweethearts who are getting married in July 2027, and their October engagement session was the perfect way to celebrate this exciting season of their lives. We had the most beautiful sunny fall day, with mostly green scenery, subtle fall colors, and even some florals still in bloom.
EXPLORING WAVENY PARK
The historic house was one of my favorite parts of the property. Between the beautiful architecture, the stairs in the back, and the fountains throughout the grounds, there were so many gorgeous spots for photos. The gardens added a little color, and the sunlight made everything feel extra beautiful.
Rebekka and Eric were so sweet and laid-back, and they were up for exploring wherever the session took us. We wandered around the property, capturing a mix of romantic portraits and more candid moments along the way.
A LITTLE ADVENTURE IN THE FIELD
We even made our way out to the field behind the property, which gave us a completely different look from the gardens and house. The open space and natural scenery were the perfect backdrop for some of my favorite images from their session.
I love when an engagement session gives us the chance to explore a location and discover new spots along the way. Waveny Park definitely did not disappoint!
